Draft — Pending Legal Review
Program Terms & Conditions
The following terms outline the eligibility, scope, and conditions of participation in the DarkRange Startup Accelerator Program. Final legal language will be reviewed and approved before the official launch.
1. Eligibility
The program is intended for early-stage startups, generally founded within the last three years, with an active product or service. Applicants must provide accurate company information, and DarkRange reserves the right to verify eligibility before granting access. Each startup is eligible for one grant only, regardless of the number of founders or team members.
2. Selection Process
Participation is competitive and merit-based. Applications are evaluated using predefined selection criteria, and approximately 25 startups are selected for each cohort. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, and all selection decisions made by DarkRange are final.
4. Program Benefits
Each selected startup will receive:
- Access to the DarkRange Startup Accelerator platform.
- A predefined allocation of platform credits sufficient to perform one professional penetration test on a primary asset.
- One comprehensive security assessment report.
- Supporting evidence suitable for security questionnaires and compliance preparation.
- Permission to display the “Tested by DarkRange” badge upon successful completion.
Program credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or resold, and expire 12 months after issuance if unused.
5. Scope of Assessment
The penetration test evaluates vulnerabilities that are reasonably discoverable within the agreed testing scope and available assessment techniques. No security assessment can guarantee that an application or infrastructure is completely free from vulnerabilities or future security risks. Reports and supporting evidence are intended to assist with security reviews and compliance preparation, but do not constitute a certification, compliance approval, or regulatory guarantee.
6. Confidentiality
All security findings, reports, and customer information remain confidential. Ownership of assessment results belongs to the participating startup. DarkRange will not disclose security findings to third parties unless required by law or necessary to provide the agreed services.
7. Data Usage & AI Improvement
DarkRange will not use customer scan data or assessment results for AI model improvement without explicit consent. If a participant voluntarily opts in, anonymized and privacy-preserving data may be used to improve detection capabilities, attack reasoning, and platform performance. Participation is not dependent on providing such consent, and consent may be withdrawn for future processing at any time.
8. Marketing & Publicity
DarkRange will never publish a startup’s name, logo, testimonial, case study, or assessment results without prior written permission. Participants who voluntarily agree may be featured in marketing materials, success stories, or customer case studies.
9. No Automatic Billing
Participation is completely free. No payment method is required, and no participant will be automatically enrolled into a paid subscription after completing the program. Any future commercial engagement with DarkRange requires a separate agreement initiated solely at the participant’s discretion.
10. Program Modifications
DarkRange reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the program — including eligibility requirements, available benefits, or cohort capacity — with reasonable notice where practicable.
11. Limitation of Liability
The program is provided on a best-effort basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DarkRange shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses arising from participation or from vulnerabilities that remain undiscovered outside the agreed testing scope.
